Big Crops and Big Mess
The wisdom of Solomon was so profound. He was so wealthy, so beyond his years and even his time. And yet that wisdom, which was from the Lord, helped him to simplify things to the most understandable level. Now I have never actually physically seen with my own eyes some of the things King Solomon spoke of in this book of wisdom but I can picture it clear as day because of that simple wisdom. Thank God for the words in this chapter. Here we go.
4 Where there are no oxen, the manger is clean, but abundant crops come by the strength of the ox.
Proverbs 14:4
Haha! Thank God for oxen? Yes. I am grateful for what this imagery shows us.
Bring on the messes! Because we know what comes with it. An actual blessing of provision. I say all the time that I would rather see evidence of children in my home and have them than the alternative because we have none. Bring on the mess in your businesses, in your family in our ministry. I welcome the mess and you should too. We want to see people getting radical transformed for Jesus so with that we need the oxen, that’s you and me by the way. Things are going to get as little dirty. There will be mud, patties, sweat, tears… But it will all be worth it.
When you serve do you think about the harvest that the Lord is going to bring forth? I hope so. The reality is the enemy has a harvest with a different goal. It is one of isolation, of condemnation of pain. So yeah the pen would be clean. The manger wouldn’t have any grime but neither would there be a harvest.
I am praying for the strength of the ox to be upon this ministry. Upon the guest services teams of every Father’s House location. Of every TFH Network church. God will have His harvest and I am grateful to be a part of the process even if it means I have to get my hooves, I mean hands a little dirty.
Love you!
