Let Him Cook
There is no one like our God. Isn’t that cool. What we have to offer people, is freedom. But first we have to “let Him cook”
No other religion out there gives the kind of freedom that God can deliver. He shows us that we deserve damnation, we deserve pain and suffering for an eternity. I hope you know that today. You and I are not exempt from this. None of us will EVER be good enough to escape it. We cannot earn our way to heaven. Because “the wages (payment) of sin is DEATH”
But. He stepped in for us. The work is finished. We get the free gift of salvation. We don’t have to earn it we just need to lean into the gift that He chose to give. Did you hear what I just said? We are all sinners and sin requires a payment of blood, Jesus paid that debt and now we have eternal life when we accept Him as Lord of our lives. Guys what a breath of fresh air this is in a world where we have to do things to be loved by those around you, or to choose to beat ourselves up over and over for not being perfect.
Listen to these 2 verses. God spells it out clearly here before Jesus was even on this planet. Man every time I pray, study and write one of these for our team I just want to go deeper. I can’t but man. Isaiah the prophet is looking forward to what God says He already planned to do for His people.
11 I, I am the Lord, and besides me there is no savior. 12 I declared and saved and proclaimed, when there was no strange god among you; and you are my witnesses,” declares the Lord, “and I am God.
Isaiah 43:11–12
This, our, all powerful God, did not need us to be followers of Him. But He chose us. I hope you are as grateful as I am for that. We should move with graciousness and confidence for what God has done for us. Paying the ultimate sacrifice.
That being said, let this man cook. God was speaking through Isaiah in a huge way. 750 years before some of the things He told Isaiah would happen were already in the works.
I am grateful to serve a Lord that chose this path for His people. So please, when you are going through everyday life, think about that amazing gift that He has given you. He has plans to prosper you, not to harm you. Does that make you as pumped and excited as it does me? I hope so. Let people see that excitement for what God is doing in your life. Then get on board. Recognize that you can’t force His hand on anything. Let Him be the Redeemer of every single person that comes into the building. Pray to join forcers with Him.
18 “Remember not the former things, nor consider the things of old. 19 Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.
Isaiah 43:18–19
