When it comes to living my life to the fullest, some would say living a great life, I hope I would have 20/20 vision.
But the reality is it is hard to accomplish that on our own. Without Faith and understanding with the Lord, how could I see clearly. Without Jesus as my guide it is impossible to understand how beautiful of a path He has for us.
The veil over our eyes without the covering of His blood is something that keeps us blind to His will.
Can I tell you a story? Well if you are reading this I know the answer is yes. Well any way this is story about a little boy who knew exactly what he wanted to be when he grew up. This boy was sure down to the smallest of details. At least he thought he was sure.
At 4 years old he saved his mom from a traumatic experience. Well that Christmas his mom gave him a toy fire engine and told him that he was meant to help and protect people. That little boy looked at that fire engine and thought about those words. He put those two things together in his mind and from that day on knew exactly what he was going to be when he grew up. He was focused. He had what looked like 20/20 vision.
Have you ever gone to get your vision checked? Have you had the question, “which is better? 1 or 2?” In that vision test it is clear pretty quickly how much better your vision could truly be. It is shocking really.
By the end you get your new glasses in a couple weeks with brand new lenses that are actually the right fit for your eyes. And what do you know, you can see clearly! Maybe for the first time ever.
Well we are all in need of the clear vision that can only come from our Savior. I want that! I hope you want that! That little boy from the story earlier, me, had a good vision but not the right vision, the perfect vision that God had for him.
Without him our vision is foggy. It is unclear. Make it clear then. Focus in on Him. Let him remove that veil.
18 And we all, with unveiled face, beholding the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another.
2 Co 3:18
Every year, I ask God what He sees for our Guest Service team. What is the direction He wants us to focus on the most? I am so grateful that our focus was Unity this year for 2026. Just because we move on to the next does not mean we abandon the original ones. Our first year together we focused on Intentionality. 2026 our focus was Unity and next year I feel I am on to what He is showing me but I will still be in prayer.
Our GS Vision Night where Pastor Joseph and Tosha have come each year will happen January 23rd 2027. This is a night to get us connected as a team, share the vision for 2027 and have a nicer meal together.
Let’s keep that vision clear. I am grateful that we get to be transformed into the same image (His)
Love you!

Key takeaways
It is easy to follow a leader when that leaders example is Jesus.
Jesus chose to mentor more than manage.
