People around you matter
If your 5 closest friends are 3 star Michelin rated chefs…. chances are you might be too or at least be head and shoulders above everyone else at cooking. 5 close friends that have great relationships with their kids… again chances you will too.
We are the average of the 5 people we spend the most time with. This is a very popular statement in the leadership world. Have you seen that in your life where the influence of someone else really helped you or lead you down a better path?
Our team is set up for that average to be really stellar. In the case of Guest Services we all share one common trait, we care about people. So with that one thing in common we can all grow in other ways based on the influence of each others careers or interests, how many kids they have or their obsession with Russian nesting dolls.
Sometimes you are the person that is bringing someones average of 5 to a really healthy place and sometimes you are the one that is blessed to be a part of a group of 5 that really helps you grow. I think just the pure knowledge of that can really help the way we interact with people knowing that influence in the positive or negative is always happening and when we lean into the desire to help each other, it makes growth in the Lord more easy. Thanks for being a team that cares deeply about those around you. I hope you are helping someone new have a really great average.
Serve Like Jesus,
James Cooper
