Before the foundation…
I am honestly not “worth it.” Only God is capable of covering me. Only He is worthy. As we were at Pursuit last night I was overwhelmed by the power of what God showed me. He showed me:
That I am the man He chose to bless with adoption into what used to be a people of Israel only blessing
That I am the man that He deemed worth giving my family
Worth giving everlasting life to
Worth covering
Our God deems us “worth it” because He is worthy, holy and loving. Only because HE is WORTHY of it all, praise and glory. Not because of anything I have ever done.
Man I just feel the power of His love for our church right now.
“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places, even as he chose us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before him. In love he predestined us for adoption to himself as sons through Jesus Christ, according to the purpose of his will,”
Ephesians 1:3-5 ESV
I was looking around at Pursuit last night realizing, “not only did He do this for me, but for all of them, and for all of those on the freeway right now…” He chose us and knew that we would end up here. Be the person He needs you to be for every single person coming through those doors. As we get ready for a big weekend with Baptize America, remember what He did for us and what He will do for the unsaved family members of people that are getting baptized.
