Light it up!
…14 “You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. 16 In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.”

Be the Light
The joy of being a part of that light of the world. Actually we are the light. These are the words of Jesus. Special words that make it clear what He is tasking us with. We should honor Him by actually being that light, by not hiding it under a basket or hiding it from people so as not to make them uncomfortable. So often people think that our journey with the Lord should be private. I think it is important that people actually can look at us and know we are Christians. We don’t have to shout it aggressively but we should at least look like a Christian. We should display that joy on our faces that could only come from Him. We should care for people where they are.
As a Guest Services member you really get the chance to be a light almost literally in peoples eyes as they walk up to the campus. Have you ever had an experience where you were that light for someone? What was that like? How did the conversation go?
