Unity, the way He Planned it
Really simple, just show up. Be there as one body.
2 with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love, 3 eager to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. 4 There is one body and one Spirit—just as you were called to the one hope that belongs to your call—
Ephesians 4:2-4
We are members of one body. We are accounted for and glad for it. The cool thing is that even in the Bible we have examples of a unified big C church but with individual little c churches still had their own DNA and specific culture. I love that our church is part of the Church and that we still have our DNA. For me, this is the most biblical version of the Church I have ever personally witnessed.
Paul continually writes to the various churches with language they will understand and then calls for them to know the concepts of the gospel. He uses Greek language and phrases when talking to the greeks. He uses sports terms when talking to the Athenians.
Relate with people where they are at and bring them closer to what God has in store for them. I love when we get to do this for our people coming into the church. Meeting them where they are, maybe speaking a little more like they do, getting to know where they are coming from and bringing them closer to Jesus.
Keep loving on people. Staying unified with the big C Church and knowing that our churches individual style speaks to those around us as we bring them into His house. But don’t forget that we want them to move on from baby food to solid food as Paul says.
1 But I, brothers, could not address you as spiritual people, but as people of the flesh, as infants in Christ. 2 I fed you with milk, not solid food, for you were not ready for it. And even now you are not yet ready, 3 for you are still of the flesh. For while there is jealousy and strife among you, are you not of the flesh and behaving only in a human way?

Help them in that journey by getting to know 1 or 2 per week, connecting them with groups and helping disciple them. Making connections helps us to better serve people. Don’t scared to greet people the exact way you would have needed it when you first started coming here. Bring them into the fold. Help them into the Church!
