Healing / Serve
14 And when Jesus entered Peter’s house, he saw his mother-in-law lying sick with a fever. 15 He touched her hand, and the fever left her, and she rose and began to serve him.
Mt 8:14–15
Peter’s mother in law was sick enough to need healing. Jesus did not heal her simply so that she could serve Him. He did it becasue she was in need. It doesn’t say that he went through the typical jewish rituals after touching a sick person. He just went about His business and so did she. She immediately jumped into action and started serving Jesus.
After a fever, I would assume you are not normally ready to just jump up and get to serving. But I am so glad that God is capable of healing people fully. He is capable of taking us at our sickest and making us healthy again.
Because of Jesus we can pray directly to Him and He will heal us fully. So I am praying that each of us that is dealing with any sickness, whether that be physical, spiritual or mental, that we would be fully healed so that serving Him would be easy. That there wouldn’t be any burden.
So glad to serve in health and sickness. Grateful to have a God that wants us healthy and able to serve Him, by serving others.
Serve Like Jesus!
