I have seen some Flugtag paper planes get pretty far but not like Wilbur and Orville. Similar material but not similar results.
The real thing, even when it is archaic, still performs better than the fake version. How do we find the real thing? How do we tell them apart from one another. Today, the Wright brothers version of a plane looks absolutely nuts. But back then it was revolutionary. AND it worked. For these Flugtag challenges they are clearly incapable of actually taking flight. In general they are just trying to see how far the can fall from the take off platform.
The real thing is seen by its fruit. If a Flugtag object flew as far as a plane it would be disqualified…. because it would be an actual plane. Even though it looks like a Red Bull Flugtag machine it still flew…. therefore plane. We will know them by their fruit.
What kind of fruit are you growing? Does the greeter in you live in the outside world? When you step off the campus are you generous in line at Starbucks allowing someone else that “needs” to jump in front of you get in front of you, even if they don’t deserve it because they were kind of mean? And they didn’t even say thank you afterward? Looks like an usher, but does he fly like one? Looks like a shuttle driver but does she drive like one?
Don’t be the Flugtag version of a greeter outside of the church. Carry that through in your everyday life.
